Centralia is the CENTER of everything! Halfway between Seattle and Portland. Halfway between the mountains and the ocean. Centralia is the largest city in Lewis County. There is so much to do in the area that I started a Facebook page, "365 Things To Do In Lewis County". Scroll through the page for hundreds of ideas. Like the page and get even more ideas in the future! GREAT CENTRALIA RESTAURANTS: - La Tarasca, authentic Mexican food. This is nothing like Taco Bell, Taco Time, or any other Mexican restaurant chain. This is the real deal! - McMenamin's Olympic Club, historic character, great food, even an old movie theater where you can dine while watching a movie. - Dawn's Delectables, best sandwich & dessert shop in the county! - Big T's BBQ, killer pulled pork sandwiches. I get mine with extra sauce! - Judy's Country Kitchen, the best place for a big farm-style breakfast! - Tiki Tap House, weirdly delicious pizza. Yes, they have one with SPAM and Mango on it. NORTHRIDGE NEIGHBORHOOD This is a quiet neighborhood perched about the Skookumchuck River Valley. Views of Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, Mt Adams, and the city lights are common from the homes on this hill. There is no through-traffic in this cul-de-sac. Abundant wildlife wanders through the area for your enjoyment. Deer are plentiful. I have also seen quail, eagles, rabbits, a fox, geckos, humming birds, and many other birds. Residents have more pie cherries and figs than they can eat when they are in season. And blackberries. Oh my. There is over an acre of blackberries in the green-belt that are free for the picking. Eat them fresh. Make a cobbler. Can some blackberry jam. Nuke them and pour them over vanilla ice cream...YUM! Make me a pie. :) You should definitely buy a house here. This is home.
