I am a native East Tennessean, living in and around the Knoxville area my entire life. I thought I was going to be a veterinarian when I grew up, until I found out after I got my first job at 14 as a vet tech, that being a veterinarian meant going home with hair in my pants daily. In pursuit of a somewhat less furry profession, I received a biochemistry degree from Maryville College and pursued my first career in Histology. Marriage, and then children, led me to take a hiatus from the time clock. While home raising my three daughters, I started Sweet Whimsy Designs as a creative outlet.

When it was time to reenter the workforce, I found myself wanting to explore other options and opportunities. At the urging of a friend, I got licensed in property and casualty insurance within a call center located in Knoxville, where I wrote insurance in 20+ states. Not one to be tied to a desk for long, I started looking to expand my horizons beyond the headset. After other real estate related venues, In 2015 I officially I entered the world of residential real estate and haven't looked back.

I love Knoxville and have a special affinity for the South Knoxville area. I love coming off I-40 into downtown and seeing the Sunsphere just ahead or looking over the Tennessee River into the city while traveling across the South Knoxville Bridge on James White Parkway and knowing that I am HOME. Watching this side of the Henley Street and Gay Street bridges and the Tennessee River grow into the quirky fun little section of the city that it is becoming has been so gratifying and I feel honored to be a part of its growth, housing and welcoming new people to the Knoxville area. I am so excited to share Knoxville with you, from the palatial homes of Farragut, to Halls Crossroads to the north, to Strawberry Plains to the East, and of course, South Knoxville, almost at the base of the Smoky Mountains. For those who aren't as in love with city living, the surrounding areas of Knoxville also have much to offer, and all have their own unique charm. Let me work with you to find your perfect lake get away in Loudon County, take advantage of the convenience and versatility of Blount County, or live on your own mountain resort in Sevier County.

Carli is a Rockstar Realtor!! We were on the way to see a house and called her and she was working out at the gym and met us at the location in 30 minutes! Another time I was looking for a house for our daughter and told her about a house I was interested in that wasn't on the market yet but "coming soon". Within a couple of hours she had pulled comps, had driven by the location and called me back. I can't say enough good things about Carli. She's dedicated and a woman of fine character who didn't seem bothered by my 10 calls a day when we were waiting to hear if our offer was accepted on a foreclosure. She is our Realtor for life! Q. What Is Needed To Get My Home Ready To Sell?

I often hear homeowners planning to sell their home when they can "get it ready", and they feel they have to do extensive work or repairs to sell.Every home exists in a range in which you can expect to sell, not at a point. Comparable homes in age, area and size can vary drastically in condition ranging from cash only investor specials that may be just shy of tear down condition to high end new or newly renovated homes, with top quality finishes and amenities. However, it is important to note tha...

    Q. Why Should I Use An Agent To Sell My Home?

I know the market is ! With houses selling quickly, I often get asked "why should I use an agent to help me sell my home?".Here are a few of the things an agent does for you:1. We help you determine the homes true value range. Your home could be worth more or less than your neighbors' for many reasons and an agent will help you muddle through that. 2. We help you make sure your home is in the condition it needs to be in for the price you want to receive. Your price range can be affected by iss...

    Q. What Additional Costs Can A Buyer Expect?

    A. A common concern I hear from buyers is anxiety over out of pocket cost they may incur.Initial out of pocket costs to be aware of, before even making it to the closing table, is for inspections and the appraisal.Inspections are entirely for the information of the buyer, and you may choose what inspections you would like to have. Buyers are strongly encouraged to at the very least have a general home inspection. Your loan type may also require a termite inspection and it may make sense for you...
