With a 4-year degree in Biology and two years of teaching experience overseas, I've taken a non-traditional and surprising career path. (Although perhaps not uncommon for many fellow millennials). For me, I was never going to allow myself to work in a career I wasn't passionate about. After 3 years as a research technician, I was finally brave enough to call it quits and get serious about finding my true calling in the workforce. I taught English overseas for the next two years, and during this time period, I stayed at many Airbnbs across the world. I loved the idea of hosting, but I didn't own any property. Some Google searches and podcast listens later, I connected with a leader in the short term rental management field. She directed me to Great Dwellings, and I've been a sponge ever since -- learning as much as I possibly can and honing my craft in a career I can confidently say I am passionate about! Two years later I decided to get my real estate license as well and joined a wonderful team at Coldwell Banker. Forget the test tubes and goggles -- I love the world of real estate.
