About Me:

    A cornerstone of my personal promotion effort is posting testimonials on Facebook and LinkedIn, about someone else. I like to meet people that I find interesting for coffee, and write a 200+ word testimonial that highlights their life. I always make sure that the celebrated person approves the copy prior to posting. I have interviewed judges, entertainers, mortgage lenders, attorneys, finance people, exercise gurus, and business owners ¿ this format is markedly in opposition to 'conventional wisdom', in particular for its length. I believe in slowing down, and enjoying the person seated with me ¿ everyone is amazing if we just take the time to listen to their story.

    Professional experience:

    I have affiliated my license with five (5) real estate companies over the last twenty-five (25+) years of practice. I am an Associate Broker with over 500+ transactions in residential and commercial real estate. I have trained many new Realtors and designed numerous marketing programs. In the past, I have lived and worked in several countries. During this time in my life, I worked in military electronics. My educational background is engineering at the bachelor's level, and I hold a Masters in Communications from American University.

    My business style:

    A successful career in real estate entails a great deal of energy and management of stress. I work out regularly, eat right and get proper rest. I also do not take myself too seriously as life is short. It may be that you have experienced disappointment in your life. I have too, but I am a compassionate optimist.

    You may be familiar with the BANK Code method of personality typing and the DISC method for assessing behavioral/personality types. I tend to place 'unusual' on this assessments, but fundamentally, I come up as a mix of gregarious/social, and as appropriate, analytical.

    Most Realtors see themselves as trying to 'be everything to everyone' ¿ in other words, sell themselves to you. I seek your business as well. However, I will take the time to understand who you are as a person. I believe every person can be served, but the approaches to communication, a vital part of a real estate transaction, vary widely. For this reason, I like to start every relationship over coffee or tea, or least an in-depth conversation, and listen. I know real estate contracts and pricing in my sleep, but how we proceed is entirely dependent on you.
