Real estate is not my first career. It evolved from, and is informed by, 38 years as a news reporter and photographer. I worked for seven daily newspapers in Alabama and Georgia before moving to Virginia. Writing for a local weekly paper here gave me time with my three children when they were young, and it gave them a paper route!
Initially I wrote a story about "a house a week" in Great Falls. I would randomly select house on the market, visit on Sunday, take pictures, and write about its features, its ambiance, and of course, its price. I soon learned that houses are just like people: each has a unique story to tell. Each will find someone to love it. It is up to us Realtors to help them find one another. To do this, Coldwell Banker agents rely on years of specialized training, daily real-time research on the local housing market and inventory, and sensitivity to the needs and resources of our clients.
The surrounds of Washington D.C. are dynamic. Its residents are early adopters: deeply involved, well-informed and eager to know more. Whether they are here for a career move, because of the outcome of an election, or because their families have been embedded in the community for generations, they care deeply about their communities. And so do I!
Realtors develop deep insight into the people, schools, houses of worship, parks, animals and unique history of the communities they serve. As a Realtor, I love exploring Loudoun County's beautiful communities with prospective homeowners as we search out that special house that instantly calms children and dogs and comforts the whole family with the "quiet enjoyment" of coming home at the end of every day. I was a "trailing spouse" with three small kids when I arrived in Northern Virginia more than 30 years ago, and now I have deep roots. I would be honored to help you find a homeplace where you can plant yours.
I'm a "real-time" Realtor for Coldwell Banker, working in the here and now for you and your family, mindful of your needs and relentless in the search for your new home.
