Born and raised in West Caldwell, New Jersey, and New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Ellen fulfilled her lifelong dream of studying Architecture at Auburn University. Early in her career she had the honor of working for Kelbaugh & Lee Architects, Princeton, on major public passive solar projects and design competitions which gained awards and recognition in architectural journals and magazines. Ellen enjoyed an 8-year career as an Architectural Designer and coordinator of presentation renderings for firms in New Jersey, Florida and Santa Monica.
Ellen transitioned into working as an Artist in the 1990s, marketing her original pen & ink renderings at prestigious art shows in Los Angeles. Her commissions are found in distinguished collections including former USC President Stephen Sample, The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in Oak Park, Illinois, the Malibu Adamson House, the official Grand Canyon gift shops, and private collections.
From 2004-09 Ellen was a CA Real Estate Appraiser throughout LA County. This experience lends a unique style and technical credibility to her Comparative Market Analyses, and helps her clients gain a more realistic expectation of value. In addition to her professional and creative backgrounds, Ellen has over 18 years' experience in retail sales which inspired her pursuit of a real estate career. She had finally found a way to fuse her passion for Architecture with her enthusiasm for our extraordinary California Real Estate Market. She earned her real estate license in the Spring of 2010.
By 2017 Ellen had finished an impressive year of real estate sales placing her in the top 9% of agents with her former brokerage, in the Leading Edge Society. In the Summer of 2019 she accepted an invitation to join Coldwell Banker Realty in Calabasas. Here an incredibly supportive management, office culture, and marketing resources awaited her. With the robust Listing Concierge marketing program, her clients have been enthusiastic to list with her. 2020 and 2021 have been her strongest years in sales production, achieving the distinction of CB International Sterling Society, despite the challenges of Covid restrictions.
