    My Story

    I was born and raised in a suburb of Cleveland Ohio. Although my family lived in a very affluent part of town, we struggled while my father’s job at Ford rocked in and out of unemployment.  Being surrounded by kids who got everything they wanted while we sometimes went without heat in the dead of winter wasn’t easy.   But regardless of how hard things got, we always had the stability of a roof over our heads.  My parents were homeowners.  And when things got the most difficult, they rented rooms in our home to keep the bills paid. Our house kept our family together.  I understand the value of home. 

    Since we didn’t have money to spare, I learned at a very young age to barter.  I was in the 6th grade when I came home from school with a presidential Rolex which I traded a classmate for some art supplies.  Horrified, my parents did some quick detective work and the watch was returned, much to my dismay.  It was then I discovered I had a knack for sales.

    I began my career in Sales at WRMR radio in 1993.  Twenty two years later, my sales and marketing career had covered TV, Radio, Print, and Web, but regardless of the amount of success I achieved I simply was not satisfied with my field of work.  

    I had watched as my wife Wendy spent 10 years building a very successful real estate business.  She seemed to love her job, and we had been throwing around the idea of becoming partners, so I finally decided to join her.  What we didn’t know then was that Wendy was going to be given an opportunity to join Coldwell Banker’s corporate team shortly after I became licensed. It was a hard decision for us at first, but eventually Wendy accepted a position as the Director of Training and Education for the state of Florida, and that decision put us on a new journey.

    With Wendy on the corporate side of the business in training, I have direct access to the latest tools as soon as they hit the market, and with technology changing at the speed of light timing is everything.  My marketing background combined with Wendy’s real estate training career gives my client’s a decided advantage in a competitive market.

    Real Estate has finally provided the meaning that was missing in all my other sales jobs, and I’d like to think it shows in the way I run my business.  I love negotiating contracts, solving problems and being able to sit down at the end of the day and know the work I’m doing is making a difference in the lives of the people and communities around me.
