When we immigrated to America, the opportunities for freedom and success excited us! So, I dedicated my life to sharing those opportunities with the ones I love and achieving the "American Dream" for our growing family.

I was born and raised in the Philippines. My family was poor and we worked hard just to have basic necessities. I grew up in a very large family. With so many mouths to feed, we each took on chores in the home to care for one another. From a young age, I learned how to cook, clean, and care for a home. My work ethic was built within the walls of my Aunt and Uncle's house and it laid the foundation for my success in life. After high school, I received a scholarship for a nearby community college to become a teacher! I supported myself through school by working as a saleswoman for Avon and Tupperware. After graduating college, I enjoyed teaching children over seven years old in my community. Although we loved the Philippines, we always prayed for a better opportunity to come along ¿ then, one finally did! My husband's parents had moved to America and my brother-in-law was serving in the United States military. He, and several other family members, were a huge blessing in our lives and assisted us in moving there as well. We couldn't wait to chase our own version of the "American Dream." We had to start from scratch to build a life here and it wasn't easy, but we made it work. We lived with my in-laws and rented out just one room for our growing family. We fantasized about owning our own home someday but we weren't sure how. Regardless of our humble circumstances, we worked tirelessly to provide for our two kids.  After seven years of sharing our space with my husband's family, we decided to make our dream come true! It was difficult and overwhelming at times; we faced some serious cultural differences. We had no idea where to start and we didn't even have a bank account! Thankfully, we found someone who helped us prepare for homeownership in more ways than one. She helped us establish our credit, set up our banking, and apply for loans. The next step was finding the perfect place! We searched and searched but struggled finding an affordable option in a neighborhood we liked at a price we could afford. One Sunday morning, while driving to church, I decided to take a different route. I still don't know why, but I felt an impression to turn down one particular street, and I did. Just then, I saw it ¿ the perfect house! Something about it spoke to me and I knew it would be my family's new home. I called my agent right away and told her of my excitement. The house wasn't even on the market yet, but that she contacted the seller anyway. Needless to  say, we bought our first home just 45 days later and had officially achieved our "American Dream!" Finally, we had our independence and a place to call our own. Our children were young at the time, but my heart was so full knowing that I could finally teach them those important lessons that I learned at their age. I could teach them responsibility and work ethic through household tasks. Not to mention, they had room to run, play, and grow! It meant the world to us to reach our goal and that experience sparked my desire to help others achieve theirs! Just one year later, I started pursuing real estate as a career - I had found my passion! I worked as a real estate assistant for many years where I learned the ins and outs of the industry. I studied the market and absorbed information like a sponge. In 2002, I officially received my REALTORS® license and have been helping my clients achieve their dreams ever since!
